Disrespectful customer service. I attempted to check in an hour early for my three nite stay and was told I was being charged $25 for checking in early. What a joke. It will be my last stay here, that's for certain.
Aside from that, rooms are clean, but really small.
edit: My reply to the hotel: I have stayed at literally dozens of hotels. In fact, I stay at a hotel 3 days a week because of my job. This is absolutely the very first time I have been told I would be charged for checking in 1 hour early. My stay was for THREE days, I guess that wasn't sufficient enough for you. Not only that, your rate is around $70 a night, so for one hour, you wanted to charge the equivalent of one third youR nightly rate. As for the smell, apparently you have issues and have received complaints regarding this because I didn't complain about any smells. Additionally, NO YOU WON'T BE SEEING ME AGAIN.

I have never been to Maine before my trip that started on the 26th of January. I stayed at 2 hotels through my journey in freeport, the hotel 44, and this one. I loved this hotel so much out of any other hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. This place was so quiet and my room was insanely clean. Super easy to checkin and out and the entire staff was beyond friendly. If you're going to Maine for a vacation trip or just business, you cant pass this place up. If I ever go back to Maine this is the only place I will be staying at !!!
Rooms: To start off, the room that I stayed in was king sized bed. This bed was super soft and I hadn't slept better in years than in the 3 nights I slept on this bed.
Nearby activities: Well, there's a desert very nearby which, actually kind of sounded funny at first but it's very real. This whole area has some pretty cool history, check it out.
Safety: The safety at this place was well exceeded my level and if I had kids would feel very comfortable having them stay with me here.
Walkability: This hotel is just up the road from a gas station and a market to buy food and drinks.
