Union River Lobster Pot

When in Maine, you have to eat a whole lobster. It was fresh and delicious; what more do you need? I would recommend and come back here if I were to visit Ellsworth again. We came here at the end of August 23. We put our names down for a table of 8 and waited about 45 mins before getting a table. We bought drinks from the outdoor bar and sat outside by the water while we waited. Bring bug spray. The food was delicious and we had a great time here. I got the lobster dinner with the upgrade to the shore dinner. That came with a good amount of steamers and mussels and a side of clam chowder. I got to wear a bib while I enjoyed my lobster which was cooked to perfection.

This was the best restaurant we ate at from Boston to Maine! We stopped in on a Thursday night, about 10 minutes after they opened. This place filled quickly and there's a reason why--it's sooo good! The prices for the food are amazing--less than half of what the same meal was in Boston! The lobster poutine was divine, our meals were fabulous and served quickly and dessert...oooh baby! The blueberry pie and the cookie sundae were too good to skip! Someday I need to get back to Maine, just to eat here again!
