Overpriced with poor service from a staff who doesnt give a damm. They charge $350 a night for a hotel in northern Maine under construction, no pool, no hot tub, no ice, no bar/restaurant, thin towels and hammering/construction noise in the background. This is after the lost the original reservation so they could charge more money.

Inn is in northern remote Maine and charging $350 a night for nothing. The place is under construction with no pool, no spa, no bar, no breakfast, no ice, thin towels and unhelpful staff. The hotel lost our original reservation and they made up a higher rate. Go elsewhere.

I've stayed at worse but paid a lot less for it. This place has great potential to be pretty amazing but it was kind of hard to see given the amount of renovation going on at the time of our stay. Given so much of the inn is under construction it was pretty quiet which was nice. Currently there's no bar but I suspect when it's done it will be really nice. The restaurant itself is small but adequate and the staff is friendly. One really nice amenity is a full fitness center that can rival practically any professional gym. There's an indoor courtyard but currently being used as a staging area for the construction. The function room in large enough for moderately sized events. Rooms: So I'm going to start with mentioning that this hotel is currently undergoing full renovation of all rooms and spaces. This review is strictly about the one room we stayed in which was identified as finished. I'll start with the positive. The room itself is of reasonable size and the in-room amenities include a small 1 cup coffee maker (ours didn't work), a pretty good sized refrigerator , and microwave. Television mounted on the wall with remote control. If you're looking to use the channel guide forget it. It doesn't work right and using the navigation buttons only results in the TV selecting a channel and you will then have to channel surf like in the old days to get to whatever Channel you want. The bed is fairly comfortable and plenty of lamps all around. Is a desk with chair and two chairs for sitting with tables. There is a wardrobe for hanging clothes and dresser with three drawers large enough for a short stay. Window has a shade that offers some privacy while letting in light and another one for blacking out entirely to provide full privacy in the evening. So what do I find unacceptable. I'll start with one seemingly minor thing about the bed. The pillows are seriously too large. They're a good four and a half to 5 in thick and very firm. I suppose that's good for sitting up and reading but for sleeping your head is tilted at such an odd angle you may want to contact your chiropractor after staying here. But honestly this is the least of my complaints about this hotel room. The bathroom. Outside of the bathroom is a switch which controls a light and the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The fan is very loud. Inside the bathroom is a switch that controls a back light behind the mirror which provides a nice even lighting throughout the room. The shower is truly something not to be believed. For some reason they feel that a modern design does not mean fully enclosing the shower. There is a bifold glass door that only covers half length of the shower starting at the wall with a controls and shower head are and stopping midway. The rest is open and water from the shower head does Splash out onto the floor making for slippery conditions if you don't put the floor mat down. Additionally there is no shelf in the shower for putting soap shampoo or conditioner. These must remain on the shower floor when not in use. In fact there is no shelf in the bathroom at all and nowhere for soap and the vanity either. My final complain about the bathroom in this particular room is the door does not close properly. I haven't tried to see if it can even close because it is so difficult. The door itself appears to have been damaged and painted over the damage.
