57 Bayview Bar & Bistro

My partner and I visited this restaurant in 2009 and had a superb dinner that absolutely made the entire trip to New England Amazing! However - since then when we returned in July, 2013 there is a new owner. We returned to order the "poor man's lobster" where it is already out of the shell. That item wasn't on the menu but they had a similar one that included a risotto. Unfortunately the lobster was chewy and the risotto was just creamed corn. We were disappointed and realized that Camden & Belfast have way better restaurants than this one. Another point is their wine menu is very poor. The wine is good but they are $5 bottles of wine (like Concannon) that is being sold for $32. The inside decorations are cozy - though it reminds me of a restaurant trying to be trendy that just doesn't quite pull it off. I would not recommend this restaurant.
