Weathervane Seafood Restaurant

This is the second time this year we have walked out of the Belfast Weathervane because we couldn't get waited on. We were seated but after 15 minutes of waiting, and even after asking the lady that seated us if someone was going to wait on us, we got up and left. They were not that busy both times this happened. Inattentive management and supervision! If you ever get your food it's pretty good. We live in Belfast 6 months each year and would eat at this place at least once a week at least--- but we're tired of the bad service at this location. So tonight, 9/27/13, we ate pizza at the place up the street. The pizza was excellent and we were served expeditiously. Come on Weathervane owners and management --- get it together! (For what it's worth, we had similar experiences last summer so this is a systemic problem.).

Visiting from NC. Hoping for fabulous Clam Chowder and fresh lobster. The chowder was bitter and lacked any other flavor ( I did not finish it). My husband had the Lobster Pie at the encouragement of the waitress. It was very dry having mostly ritz crackers and very little lobster or seafood. The native shrimp was okay. Service was just okay. We won't go back.

This weathervane has been doing consistently mediocre for years. Its only selling point is its on the pier location. Bad service. Bad cooking. Miserable wIt staff. Try somewhere else

Enjoyable outdoor dining, nothing spectacular. Thursday twin lobster special is an excellent value. My seafood platter was good though the fries were lackluster. Beer selection is mediocre. Kids didn't like chicken broccoli Alfredo.

Go in on a Thursday when it's twin lobster dinner special! Great for large groups. Sweet lobster!
