I booked Steve for 70 th birthday family photo at Sand Beach. There were 12 of us ( 4 children) who were dressed and ready for a 8am photo shoot. We had purchased coordinating outfits and arrived 15 minutes early. I confirmed the 8am Wednesday starting time in person in the store several days earlier. We chatted several minutes about potential weather and backgrounds. Once booked, I had honored that booking as another photographer had contacted me with availability. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I was upset to the point of tears that we weren’t able to capture professionally our family reunion. Steve never showed nor contacted me. He still has not done so. Totally lacking in professionalism!

Steve Bart has an amazing eye and somehow manages to capture the stunning beauty that is Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. We have bought countless images from him and they adorn our house in Bar Harbor. We’ve also taken them back to Florida and they hang as a visual reminder of our favorite place on Earth. Steve is a great guy and has printed some of my images. His prices are very fair and I highly recommend checking out his gallery!

Steve's gallery in Bar Harbor is the place to go to realize the full vibrancy of his work and the depth of his talent. Of course, Steve would be the first to tell you it is the place of Bar Harbor and Acadia that should get all the credit, unassuming as he is. This may be true, but only an expert photographer can capture the grandeur, majestry and mystery of a place in all its fullness. Steve does that. Go for a visit. You will not be disappointed.
