        By far the biggest run around I've ever had in my life trying to get a loan. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT write these people a check for a non-refundable $500 application fee unless you are reasonably sure that your loan will be approved. Be very suspicious if they say they are "leaning" towards approving your loan. Watch out for key words like "portfolio" loans. ALSO, if you are asked for additional information, be sure to ask them how many more times they are going to ask you for additional information. I was asked for additional information 6 different times in the course of 2 months. Trust me when I say that if you have less than perfect credit it is so much better to be told NO than to be scammed by this credit union.
