About Connected Credit UnionConnected Credit Union was originally chartered in 1967 as the Maine Teachers Association Credit Union serving members of the Maine Teachers Association. In the mid 90s our field of membership was expanded to include educators throughout Maine and our name was changed to Maine Education Credit Union. In 2005 we acquired a small credit union thus extending our potential membership base to include all those living or working in Kennebec and Somerset Counties. The Board of Directors voted to change our name to Connected Credit Union in Dec. of 2014. Our assets have grown to over $40MM and we serve nearly 4,000 members within Maines Educational System and our local communities. Our goal is to continue to offer our members the latest technology with the greatest convenience.Welcome to Connected Credit Union where educators and community unite to provide our members great rates, big time convenience, and exceptional, small town service.
