A Simpler Time

Simply put, this is a phenomenal shop, rife with really cool items that are reasonably priced. I could spend thousands in here were I financially able to do so. Theres many items that can be personalized as well. Free shipping on anything over $100 and that includes the total cost of anything purchased as opposed to a single item needing to cost $100. The young woman running the shop at the time was very helpful and quite lovely. This is a hidden gem you should visit, even in a town such as this with so many great shops.

Came here on a quick vacation to Louisiana, was walking around Jackson Square and saw the hot air balloons on display and fell in love. The staff that had helped me that day were very patient with me and helpful. Unfortunately, the product I wanted was too large for my check in luggage so they had offered to ship it for me, saying it would take about two weeks.Half a week later, I was told that the product is now out of stock and it may take until late summer or early fall until I will receive my product. This initially made no sense to me because the lady that helped me showed me the physical box in store, exact color and size. Their first reasoning was that there may have been a waitlist for that product before I purchased it. This also did not make sense as the person who was selling it to me would have literally given me that very same box if I had been able to take it home with me through my check in luggage. And they followed up by saying that they must have over sold the product. This was very upsetting to me, because this was the one souvenir I had bought myself during my time in Louisiana. Very upset, I asked for a refund, which was processed in a timely manner. All in all, I'm not sure how this could've handled better. Maybe it would be better for the store overall if they were keeping up to date with their stock of items before selling them. It's probably no fault of the staff that works there but more likely management. Very friendly staff but can't help but feel very disappointed at the outcome.

We needed a rush order with expedited shipping for a going-away gift for our boss. They put a rush on it, and shipped it expedited delivery at no extra cost. The sign was awesome. A+ in our book. Will definitely buy from them again!
