Amazing experience all around. The ambiance is to die for along with so much history in that building that create a special place. Craft cocktails at the bar were just enough and not too overdone. Had the Shellfish Plateau and Champagne to start and into Mississippi Rabbit and my wife had the Gulf Fish Amandine. Everything was delicious and the service was just right for a romantic night out. I highly recommend getting in to Marti's before the word gets out and you can't get a table!

Never have I been so insulted at any restaurant! After having confirmed reservations with the concierge of a prominent hotel for 11 days, my party of 6 arrived on time Saturday to be met with news that our reservation had been "shifted" from the dining room. We were offered a cramped table in a tight corner wedged up under the bar. The inexperienced and unfriendly manager informed us that she would have called us to inform prior but the hotel concierge failed to give them my number. Due to the rainy weather and the level of activity in the city, we settled for the bar. Forty minutes later a New Orleans celebrity was whisked into the dining room with his party of 6 and seated at the six top in the dining room which had been vacant since our arrival. I will be sure to remember this restaurant - Being a New Orleans native I know why New Orleans is considered such a panacea of great dining- this restaurant embodies a gross lack of all that is beautiful about New Orleans hospitality! The food - meh- about par for the course of a good New Orleans Cafeteria but with a grand dose of humiliation to make it truly memorable. P.S. the soap dispenser in the restroom had not 1 drop of soap in it.
