This is a good clinic for white people. If you're not white, you won't get the same level of care they give to white patients. It's better to Google "community clinic" and go there; you have choices as a patient of color. The management still hold on to antebellum confederacy.

The doctors are good. I had one appointment with the Nurse Practitioner because I could not get an appointment with a physician since all the appointment slots were taken. The Nurse Practitioner Mr. Keith Norman allowed his student, a PA student Madison Brewton, to give medical advice that contradicted the guidance of the FDA and CDC. Brewton had no license to practice medicine, but LSUHN management doesn't care about credentials.

Very unprofessional. While the doctors are great, the admin is not. The management refuses to follow laws on patient privacy and standards. Make an appointment with a doctor, not the Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner has billed for services he never completed. In fact, he does not perform his job but has an unsupervised PA-LSU student work as a clinician even though she has no license, nor credentials, nor proper training. This is dangerous. In fact, the LSU student gives medical advice that is wrong (even though she has no license to give medical advice). It is strange why HSS permits LSUHN to not follow state guidelines. You deserve to see a licensed provider, not an unlicensed LSU student. Make an appointment with a doctor, not the NP.

It's hard to request a specialist visit since the staff is not knowledgeable. I hate phoning here because most staff will not say hello or good bye. LSUHN clinic on st charles clinic is better and has more appointment slots. There is an onsite Quest Diagnostics for LSU patients in the waiting room: the lab tech of Quest is rude though and threaten you to pay for some bill you've never seen. Never make an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner who comes to the clinic on Fridays. He will order WRONG labs and you will get a $400 bill from Quest even though you have insurance that covers those services. The clinic does not have a Billing Dept. Google his name.

LSU Healthcare Network has all the elements of the ideal clinic: great doctors, great residents, great medical school. Alas, the management is the issue. It was a big mistake to have non-clinical personnel as managers. They refuse to listen to patients and cannot handle criticism. When issues are reported, the management plays the blame game and blames the patient, even when they are in the wrong. The clinic manager loves to tell her minions that she is "in a meeting" to avoid speaking to patients and to address the issues they bring up. Issues brought up by patients are not handled with urgency, nor professionalism. Heck, LSU staff members refuse to respect state and federal laws on patient care, permitting LSU students in the Allied Health school (not physicians enrolled in the LSU residency) to experiment on patients, instead of having licensed professionals, which is the law. This clinic supposedly practices Compassion. Utter nonsense.
