The small class was a perfect. Actually able to ask Frank Brigtsen questions about his techniques. Very fun. Nothing I've ever experienced before. Will be returning!

If you're going to New Orleans make a reservation for this cooking experience - if you can get one. We had chef Frank Brigtsen and he gave the seven of us an evening for the family scrapbook. From the first spoonful of oyster chowder to the last bit of pecan pie, Frank provide one of the best meals ever. The depth of flavor was nirvana to the palate and the simplicity of the dishes inviting. Frank was an opened-arms, welcoming kind of host who offers an unending list of cooking tips throughout an evening sprinkled with his groan-inducing one-line asides. Beyond that he's a real gentleman. (If you can't get a seat in one of the classes make a reservation at his restaurant (Brigtsen's). Then you too will have a memory for your New Orleans vacation book.

I can’t possibly express enough what a great time we had at the New Orleans Cooking Experience last night. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel at home. The hostess was lovely, full of Southern charm. She quickly learned everyone’s name and took the time to address everyone by name the entire evening, which was a nice touch. Chef Brigtsen was amazing! He was very friendly and personable and entirely approachable with questions about his cooking techniques and personal preferences on things. I am a local and he definitely taught me a thing or two! After the demonstrations were over, we had a tour of the home and then were treated to an excellent dinner in the beautiful dining room. At the end of the meal, Chef Brigtsen took the time to sit with us and answer some personal questions about how he got into the business, his career path and his mentors along the way. All around this is a top notch operation with custom concierge service and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Definitely an experience to remember!
