Ive gone off and on for a few years now. The first counselor I saw interrupted me in the middle of me talking about being assaulted to correct me on my verbiage (even though I wasnt wrong). The last appointment I had with a counselor was September 2023. I was in one of the worst depressive episodes Ive had and she decided that would be a good day to go through my chart on her computer, asking me questions like during your intake you said this, do you still agree? Then after 45 min she said well, I think thats about all for today. Well go ahead and wrap up early. and stood up to open the door. I tried to broach the subject of what was going on since I still had 15 minutes left and was honestly praying for help in that moment. She said well, sometimes we have to figure things out for ourselves. And stood there holding the door open while I sat on her couch wanting to die. I didnt go back. I wont go back. None of the counselors or psychiatrists here listen. I had to go to another facility to get a much-needed assessment that they dont offer and then they didnt believe the assessment I received. Ive witnessed the secretaries behind the counter gossiping about patients. The nurse on the PCP side is one of the rudest people Ive ever encountered. Do yourself a favor and seek private therapy if you can find/afford it because this place might just make you worse.
