Truck made 800 miles journey. Maintenance and cleaning was a disaster from budget. First.. hard to find location. Second, the person just handed me the key and papers and told me that truck is parked outside. Truck cabin smelled like smoking lounge, even the estray had previous driver's cigarette ashes!! No common sense cleaning. Not cleaned all. dirt and dust from previous trips. 113k miles on it. Lacked common sense amenity like power window.. No.. Truck didn't have power window, every time I had to get down to open/close the passenger side window. Middle jump sit was a torture chamber with no way for a grown person sit. One of the cellphone charging outlet wasn't working!! How can you expect to rent out this dumpster of a truck without one working outlet. Anyway.. We started from New Orleans to West palm Beach. Real troubles started after that.. Truck maximum speed was capped. When the highways speed limit is 70 mph, capping the maximum speed causes you to drive slower. (Not a problem.. good for safety).. But here comes the safety issue.. Rain started.. passenger side wiper blade came out of the wiper after first storm. We had to stop due to wiper issue in Florida rain. Also, the front light was not bright enough for night driving. Truck drank gas like anything!! in less than 300 miles, had to refill the gas tank. I should have paid little more to get uHaul truck.. At they are cleaned!! At least they are well maintained.
