Live Bait Bar & Grill

This is a typical-looking seafood restaurant for the New Orleans area, and it is appropriately decorated. I ordered the Shrimp Platter ($16.99), and the couple ordered a Seafood Platter to share. Both dishes came with a side salad, which is becoming a rarity without paying extra. We found the food to be very good and not greasy. The couple were especially impressed with the large oysters. So, you get a large amount for not too much money. The service was somewhat inattentive, and the tartar sauce was inferior (obviously, a cheap, pre-packaged type). Overall, we score this place an "A-". RJT

I was just wondering if any African American's have had a bad experience at Live Bait. It concerns me with some of the bad reviews that I read on this blog. If that's the case I will continue to spend my money down the block @ Deanies. I have never ate @ Live Bait, but I seen the commerical this a.m and we were gonna give it a try, but I think I'll wait. Remember Live Bait you are in a competitive business and with this ecomony bad service is not a smart business decision today especially with such competition around your area. I only posted excellent bc I never had any experience @ Live Bait and it's not fair for me to give this place a poor rating yet until I decide to give this place a try.
