        I visited this store for a simple pair of children's earrings. I was quoted a price of $25. I can immediately tell that there is a problem at checkout. The cashier calls the manager over and they begin discussing the price of the earrings in front of me. "We don't discount Pandora earrings," she says to the manager. The manager then asks her "Why are we discounting these?" Neither of these women are the sales person that sold me the earrings. They proceed to call the salesperson over and explain to her (still in front of me) that they don't discount Pandora earrings. She says that she didn't know. The manager advises me that they are $40, not $25. I tell her that I didn't ask for a discount. The salesperson heads to grab a Pandora box for my purchase. The manager tells her that I don't need the box. After all of the rigmarole for a $15 difference for PANDORA jewelry right in front of me, she deemed it unnecessary to give me the Pandora box. The entire transaction was very unprofessional and should have been discussed once I was gone. I will not visit this store again.

      ** ATTENTION CONSUMERS ** Please be very wary of reviews like this one. Anyone who knows the jewelry/diamond industry these days knows that the vast majority of diamonds in the market today come with a certification/identification number laser inscribed on the stone itself, switching or replacing diamonds is a thing of the past because of common consumer safeguards. It is common practice at Wm. S. Nacol Jewelry to show the customer where the permanent identifier is located so they can keep track of it themselves. At the time of this review, we have not been contacted about this particular situation, so it is impossible for us to determine its validity or attempt to rectify the situation. We have, however, in 40 plus years of service to the Acadiana area, never seen a diamond cracked in half. Diamonds are possible to chip, and sometimes cleave where inner inclusions can weaken their inner structural integrity, but to have a diamond crack in half would require an enormous external natural or unnatural pressure or force. The review states that this occurred after just a few months, but like the old saying states, “diamonds are forever”, the amount of time one is worn has no effect on its condition. In conclusion, our doors are open to the individual who submitted this review, if it is, in fact, a valid review. If there is any way we can attempt to resolve this issue, we will do so. If we hear nothing further, we will submit a follow up posting to further warn consumers about such inflammatory, insulting false reviews.

      I am very sorry that you are unhappy after visiting our store as that is never our intention. The earrings were on a display that does not allow the backs to put on the earrings. The salesperson that sold you the earrings asked another salesperson to ring you up while she went to get the backs for the earrings. A second salesperson was involved to minimize your wait. The manager was called for a discount code. It was at that point she did ask why are we discounting pandora? Yes she did ask the other salesperson what happened just to try to understand the situation. At that point, the manager apologized to you for the error made by salesperson. She then asked if you were ok with the corrected price. You said it was no big deal. The manager apologized again for the error. Yes, she did say it wasn’t necessary to put in a pandora box. The earrings were in our William S Nacol black velvet box which she thought was better and nicer than the pandora box. The manager also asked if you wanted them giftwrapped. Again, sorry for the error made by our salesperson. We do make mistakes everyday but when we do we just ask for understanding and forgiveness.
