It seams like BR General has rolled out a new my chart app in 2024 for you to leave a message gor your doctor, however is does not seam like they taught the staff to us it because I have left several messages on several different occasions with still no response to my message. I calleeld one time and asked them not to send a message though the app because I already did that and no response they told me told hold on and went to get the nurse. Well that solved that one issue but here we go again. Someone is going to end up sueing BR General over this and I am sure a lot of peole will be right there with them. Lets see if I get the normal AI response from a company.

From my Doctor to my surgical team, 10 stars. Everyone seems so patient centered. Such quality care from the nurses to the CNAs . Im extremely impressed as well by the entire facility. Im blessed to have been able to have my surgery here.

Don't bother going to the emergency room here if you happen to be visibly vomiting blood. You'll be made to wait 6 hours while literally everyone else, from children bouncing off the chairs to people laughing on their phones, are seen before you. And when you ask how much longer it will be, you'll be told they basically forgot about you and "don't know what happened". I don't think their ER staff know what triage means.

Im in the ER with my husband now for a kidney stone. The worst bedside manner, the rudest staff, and literally having to ask for people to do their job.

My mom, who had dementia & grand mal epilepsy, was admitted into the Baton Rouge General off Bluebonnet for mild pneumonia & a UTI. The first night, the nurses attempted to use a PureWick catheter, and then didnt check her to see if the devise was working, much less that she to be cleaned for 12 hours. The devise was not working & she had been wet for probably 10 hours when the PCA cleaned her off. Then shortly after that, my mom started to throw up & I was paging the nurse for over five minutes- no one even answered. Once I felt comfortable leaving my mom, I went to the nurses station to find the charge nurse to report both of these issues. The nurse informed me that the phones & paging system were not working in several rooms including our room. For the next few days I took turns with my stepfather to watch over my mom to make sure she wasnt neglected & kept the staff checking her every few hours. After a five day stay, with her still having pneumonia & a UTI, she was discharged. I arrived at the same time the transportation came to pick her up to bring her back to St. James Place, where she has been for past three years, two nurses and two PCAs came to transfer my mom from the bed to the wheelchair. To my shock, she was thoroughly soiled, through three pads and the sheet underneath her had diarrhea on it. I told the nurses that she needed to be cleaned off before we leave. I have no doubt that they were going to send my mom on her way without cleaning her up. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that they simply ripped off the brief & three nasty pads right out from underneath her WHILE SHE WAS SITTING IN THE WHEELCHAIR. They didnt clean her at all, and one nurse was arguing with me that it was simply urine, when I could see the feces on her and the bedsheet. I have never seen anything so inhumane, so uncaring, so completely disgusting in my life. They were capable of returning my mom to the bed, cleaning her off correctly, and then putting her back in the wheelchair, yet all four staff members chose to treat her with no dignity, like an inanimate object rather than a 75 year old lady of beauty and class. Then, if that wasnt bad enough, they did not issue any continuous care by writing a prescription for antibiotics after she was discharged. We ran another test when she got back to St. James Place, and she most definitely still had pneumonia & a UTI. Between the time it took for the test results & the doctor at St. James Place not being vigilant, it was a full five days before my mom received another script of antibiotics. My mom died seven days later. This was complete negligence on the part of the Baton Rouge General. Had they kept her clean, she would have recovered. Im seriously considering suing. The fact is that the staff simply didnt want to change her dirty diapers. Since then I have heard from nurses who previously worked at the General that this was common practice & this treatment didnt surprise them at all.
