I was referred to Dr. Sean Chaudary by my next door neighbor. She was seeing him for alternative medicine after she was discovered to have cancer. I suffer from Kyphosis. I had to have two spinal fusions after a bad automobile accident with a farm tractor in 2000. After the second fusion, I developed Osteomyelitis (bone staph) which went unnoticed until it was deep in my vertebrae. I sought our Dr. Sean, as he is fondly referred to by his patients. He had several therapies designed just for me. All natural Supplements, physical therapy and treatments helped with the pain but there was no cure that would straighten my back. He had told me when I accepted his plan of care that if he could not improve my rare condition, he would not charge me. He was honest and did everything possible to no avail. He kept his word and refunded my money with his apologies. How many real doctors admit defeat by no fault of their own and then graciously refund your money? Never have I had this much genuine care from any medical professional. By the way, he all but healed my neighbor who had cancer. She is in remission. If you live in constant pain but do not want to become addicted to opioid pain killers, I highly recommend First Choice Health and Injury, Dr. Sean Chaudary and his wonderful staff.

Let me start by saying that had I not found Dr. Shawn, life would be miserable like the 4 years prior where I traveled many miles to multiple doctors searching for someone to give me the relief I needed to live a normal life. During that time I was prescribed 40+ different types of medications, nerve blocks, and even surgery was suggested on a few occasions. All of which were ineffective or in some cases made my situation worse. I did, however, find one doctor in Houma who tried his best and did find ways to somewhat “hide” the pain and symptoms but I still was not able to be fixed in his eyes or abilities. During the first visit with Dr. Shawn he looked thru all of the medical history I brought with me along with every MRI, CAT scan, blood tests, and x-rays I had done over the years. He listened to everything I had gone thru before coming to him and even gave me a better explanation/understanding of what every other doctor tried to do for me. He then was able to show me how he could help me at that same visit. At that point I was able to experience a small amount of relief from the debilitating pain that I was in. He told me it would take months to see the full recovery I desired but he was confident that he could get me there. And he did... In response to the other reviews, it may seem like or come across as a gimmick or too good to be true. It is also not covered under insurance and is not cheap. However, in my case after spending close to $30k over the years with no results or hope for the future, his fee seemed like nothing, especially if it worked! It was worth the investment. If you do decide to make the investment in your health then be sure that you follow the treatment plan laid out for you and be patient with the process. Otherwise, you will not see the results.

Went for a consultation. Did not realize that he is not a medical doctor, but uses holistic approach. Not necessarily a bad thing. However, i felt that his assessment technique was a bit odd. He also doesn’t draw blood to check for Lyme etc.. at least not in Baton Rouge. No tissue sampling either. He uses equipment to somehow detect these things... none of which were disclosed to me. He points out a program plan that may take weeks to months. He uses a magnetic table that somehow helps to heal you. I’m sure these things can be found on the internet and must have some positive aspects to them. But they had no pamphlets or anything to explain what they look like and how they work. He leaves the room and his sister comes in and states that my particular therapy will cost $9,000.00. But since my insurance doesn’t cover this, they will only charge me $7,000.00. This is for 3 days a week, two hour visits for 6 weeks. However, that quote for me was good for 24 hours. Sorry, I felt like I was buying a used car or something. To not have any lab equipment baffled me and it wasn’t made clear to me how they would detect Lyme, asbestos, lead, and other toxins. Perhaps he was rushed that day. I’m certainly happy for those that have benefited from him. And don’t get me wrong, as a hospital professional myself, I can tell he is very knowledgeable when it comes to biology and neurology. Just felt like it was for lack of a better word, gimmicky.
