All I can say is I felt cheated after ordering my food from here. When I was downtown, I stopped by this food truck to order my lunch. I chose an item from their menu which clearly stated $5.50. When I went up to order, they said it was 6 dollars. Instead of arguing, I decided to pay for it and was given a receipt to sign and you guessed it, I was charge one more extra dollar making the total amount 7 dollars. They could have at least given me a warning so I could give them cash instead. Now I'm not complaining so much in regards to the price increase itself. Instead, I'm upset that they chose not to update the prices on their menu and also fail to tell their customer of the extra one dollar charge with using a credit card.
As for the food, it wasn't anything memorable. Their fried chicken wasn't dry but it didn't stand out from any fried chicken chains such as Popeyes and KFC. I also noticed the fried okra I ordered was definitely not fresh as I noticed in the back of the food truck that the cook was cutting open pre-made fried okra from a sealed plastic bag to be fried. I could have just bought my own frozen okra and fried them myself.
I had to wait ten minutes for my food to be ready which was pretty ridiculous in my opinion since there was no one ahead of me.
The food trucks I have visited so far in BR are so disappointing! I hope I have been just going to the wrong ones.
