I began trying to get shoes from Medcare, my new insurance company's "preferred" provider, from Kim in November of 2021, and was promised that they would be billed in 2021 since I get one pair each year through Medicare. After repeated requests for updated doctor reports and other efforts to get shoes, I was then told early in 2022 that Kim, the shoe person at Medcare, would not be able to bill them as 2021 after all. Then, after more doctor visits and reports, I was disappointed to discover a selection from which to choose of about five different shoes. So, I picked one model and then, after another couple of months, went to try them on, only to find that Kim had ordered the wrong shoes. So today, after another month or so, the correct shoes arrived only for me to find that I could not get me feet into them. After about eight months of trying, I drove two miles up the street to Davis Drugs and ordered the shoes that I really wanted to start with. Davis is not "preferred" and will charge a slightly higher co-pay, but geez, maybe I'll get some badly needed new shoes this year. They seem like nice people at Medcare, but, at least in my experience, they just couldn't even begin to provide the merchandise and services that I needed and expected.
