I booked a room at this Travelodge FROM 10/14 THRU 10/21. I paid cash at check in which included a $50.00 deposit on the room. I was told the room would be cleaned by motel personnel 2 times during the ensuing week. The room had horrible bedbugs, which I complained about, and they said they would replace the bed and never did. They failed to remove any trash for the entire week. I had to haul everything out of the room myself. The only time I had clean towels is when I demanded them at the front desk, and on at least one occasion, they did not even have them available. This was a smoking room, and there were multiple burn marks and damage to both the bedding and the carpets. I provided my own basic cleaning throughout the week, and the night before I checked out, I spent over two hours with a wet washcloth on the carpets trying to get the debris from the week at least picked up. I had completely wiped down all fixtures, bagged any remaining garbage, and cleaned all drawers, table tops, and the refrigerator. I asked them to mail my deposit back as I was in a hurry to leave, and when I called on 10/25 to follow up, they refused to return it stating the room "was deplorable". The personnel were rude, as just as an example, when I was just about ready to leave, I caught the cleaning crew in the hall and asked them where to take the remaining garbage. They looked at me as if I was from outer space. This is the worst chain I have ever stayed at. They fact they will not honor their own terms of cleaning twice a week was bad enough, but refusing to supply linens, giving no indications on what to do with trash, the horrible bedbug problem, and just the overall bad attitude they had makes sure I will NEVER visit another of these motels.. I have extensively traveled for the last 30+ years of my life, and have never been so disgusted nor disappointed in any hotel chain.

We stayed down stairs initially an my daughter woke up at 4 am covered in red welps. We pulled the covers down an bed bugs! I video taped them as I told the kids bag everything because they could have gotten in our stuff. I went to front desk the man politely moved us to third floor we checked an didn't find any bugs. It was much smaller but clean. However our entire stay the older woman at the front desk was so very rude that it has kept me from returning. I am not kidding. Her rudeness was worse than the bed bug issue. I would actually go back an stay on the third floor...lol..but knowing that lady may be there I would rather drive 15 miles south than to be treated the way she treated me. An also my teenage daughter said mom she kept looking at me real mean. That was all she wrote.
