I could not be more impressed with how professional and skilled Ryan is! We hired him to install custom built-ins on either side of our fireplace and they turned out amazing!! He gave us the option to paint them ourselves to save on time and money and I am so happy that he did! Most contractors wouldn't give you this option. Being able to do the paint work ourselves we have been able to enjoy our new home project sooner than we would have had we needed custom painters to come in, it also doesnt hurt that we saved a little money going this route! Ryan was able to complete our total instal in a day and a half. We were so shocked (in the best way) by how quickly and efficiently he worked. We could not be happier with how everything turned out and I will be recommending him to anyone and everyone I know who needs any kind of home improvement! I highly recommend reaching out to him regardless of the scope of your project! I have a feeling we may be reaching out to him for future home improvement projects for years to come! Ryan helped us when our wall-mounted over-the-range behemoth of a microwave died. We decided to get a modest modern microwave for over the stove, and therefore needed a custom shelf solution where the large mounted old microwave had been. Ryan discussed the project using photos on the phone prior to arriving, and then he was done in about 5 hours, doing the disassembly and, construction, and painting all himself. We are very happy with the solution. I'll add a picture when I can. Will definitely call on Ryan again when more cabinetry/custom shelving issues arise. Thanks! We reached out to Ryan in August for custom built-in mud room cabinets with benches. We received 2 additional quotes, and while Ryans was the most expensive we thought it would also be the best quality. He estimated 8-10 weeks until completion but he finished the pre-work in about 6 weeks and was able to finish installing in 1 day. Overall we are happy with the built-ins, they look good and were built well. However we do have a couple concerns, first is that while the construction was quality...the paint job was not. Ryan did mention earlier on the he preferred not to do the painting himself but we did pay extra to have him do it. My second complaint with the built-in is that they did not come with slow close hinges. The other less expensive quotes we received did, and I did not notice this until after they were installed. The door slamming is bothersome and feels cheap, I think that at his price point more quality hinges should be included and we will end up changing these out on our own. My BIGGEST complaint is that during installation he used a wheeled stool that completely scratched up our floors. These are original floors around 100 years old. When we noticed the damage and reached out he was very responsive and quickly arranged to come back and committed to fixing. Ryan did come back to sand and refinish the floors though he was less pleasant during the next visits. When he was here applying the final finish I expressed concern that it was too shiny when our other floor were matte. He assured me that it would dry matte. The finished product was looks worst than the scratched floor because it was sanded uneven and is not matte at all. He left before it dried and did not reach out to check in on the job. It dried shiny and does not match out other flooring. I wish we had gone with a different company because while our built-ins look fine, we paid top dollar and now have to pay a different company to come and fix our floors.
