Interesting design, if this critique was just on design it would be much higher. However a lot more goes into this type of work. There was little to no follow through after we got a drawing. And it ended up being the worst mistake we ever made. We had an addition put on in Saint Matthews. We had decided that this was going to be our “forever home” and wanted it just so. We put out trust in them. Ted gave us 3 bids from contractors. We bare some of the responsibility for going with the lowest bidder I suppose. However Ted assured us his work was as good as anyone else’s and they had done multiple projects together. This could not have been further from the truth the project literally ruined our lives.... At least during the ongoing project. It took twice as long and turned out horribly. I think now we have just resigned ourselves to move. It is impossible to go into detail about how many mistakes were made how many lies were told. Our floors are uneven, Our cabinets do not fit exactly in place, There is not a square wall in the house, places on the outside look like it was papier-mâché together with scraps. We asked Ted numerous times to please stay on top of the contractor and watch his work. Begged and pleaded for his support. Offered to pay him more money anything to help us. In summary, We appreciated his drawing and ultimately went with it. After that it was very difficult to get him to come around and didnt appear to know much about construction
