Champs Entertainment Complex

Didn't get to see much more than the skating rink, but it was nice. Everything was clean, and snacks were fixed pretty quickly. My only negative was the set of benches they had directly off the side of the rink, didn't seem to safe. Saw the kids almost busy their faces on the corner while trying to skate on the carpet area.

The place is terrible. Dirty, unprofessional, overpriced they dont accommodate very well for small simple things. I will not return

So close to being a perfectly awesome place. There's a ton of stuff to do and they have decent "all for one money" specials and it's clean and well kept. However... I think they should provide a little more training or management for their younger staff. I've been met with a range of personalities and attitudes ranging from helpful and friendly to, "why are you even here?". Fortunately, the latter is few and far between, but it's enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth for a while each time. Also, a point of note is that there are two prices for everything. Cash and credit. I understand why but it stings a little because I rarely carry cash. Lastly, and this is just a personal frustration, but they keep their skate trucks super tight. I understand that's the safest default setting for new skaters, but it was a strong impetus for me to just get my own skates because I got sick of not being able to turn... even on speed skates, which I assumed would carry a bit more leniency since they're considered "advanced". They will not allow you to loosen the trucks and I've walked away frustrated a couple times before I ended up buying my own skates (from Amazon, btw, because they lacked stock in my size for any model). Overall, I love Champs. I loved it as a kid and I love it now. So much, I got my own skates because I intend to go as often as possible (without the hassle of the uncontrollable rentals). I just hope they reinvest a bit of time and energy into the aforementioned personnel issues. It would make for a 5 star experience.
