Very unprofessional contractor. It is people like Mose that make good people hesitant to hire any contractor in the future. Everyday had an excuse as to why he couldnt come complete my deck build. I currently have 1/4 of a deck built and he has completely ignored my calls and texts. He was quick to take my money and now he will not respond. I will be taking Mose to court and hiring an attorney. He will not get away with this. DO NOT HIRE THIS INDIVIDUAL!

What started out as a great project turned out to be very negative. Contracted Mose Roberts to do a full deck replacement on large deck. We discussed, up front and at length, our expectations for the project and ended up hiring Mose based on his assurances that the project would turn out great and we would no longer have the issues that were causing us to replace the deck in the first place. He frequently told us how his decks are high quality and we would never have to replace or deck again. We went by every recommendations he provided and even paid him to come back and stain/seal the deck based on the timeline he said would be best for a new deck/lumber. What's more, he presented a longer term stain/seal that he said would be best for our situation so we paid an upcharge to have him use that product. Within months of the work being completed we started having issues with the stain/seal, which then led to boards starting to warp. We immediately contacted Mose and he said he would get right on it and get the lumber rep out to look at it and also contact the stain manufacturer. Months went by with no response so I continually reached out to Mose for an update. He always had an excuse as to why nothing was being addressed with our deck. Meanwhile, the wood issues continued to worsen since they were not being addressed. Now, almost two years later and numerous follow-up attempts to contact Mose, he responds and tells me nothing can be done and he refuses to take any responsibility, nor even attempt to provide a solution. I told him that was unacceptable as someone needs to stand behind the work and fix the issues, especially since they were immediately brought to his attention only months after the project. He has not responded to any of my subsequent attempts. Clearly, he could care less about a customer that invested A LOT of money with him and also initially passed along several referrals. He was great about taking our money and referrals, but could obviously care less about the satisfaction of his client. I could not be MORE disappointed with Mose and how he has now treated us. I regret convincing myself he would be different than other contractors based on the lies he sold us about how great his quality is and how much he stands behind his work. Clearly it is all words and no action. How unfortunate...

Mose Roberts, roofing contractor, stripped and put a new asphalt roof on our home on August 15/16. the next day he said our chimney needed work and he would fix it for $1500. We declined. On Sept. 4th he brought his son Scot over with a new chimney proposition. The price agreed on was $260. We paid Scot(who works for his father as he claims to be under his father's insurance). Scot got up on the chimney and caused further damage. He never returned to finish the job, nor did he reimburse us. Then I became suspicious of the roof job they had recently completed. Inspection revealed squishy spots around the chimney, indicating that the plywood hadn't been replaced under the shingles. I called Mose and he ended up hanging up on me. 2 roofers have looked at the job and say most of it is okay but the area around the chimney needs fixing. The defective work is under the asphalt so it isn't possible to take a photo. Mose doesn't return my calls, nor does Scot. I now have further expense of having to hire someone to finish the jobs. These people are very smooth talkers in order to get the job but buyer beware.
