        Unassuming place with excellent food. Lasagna was the best we have ever had. Seafood Risotto was very good. Deserts imported from Italy. AMAZING!

        I visited Casanova today, Shannon was my waitress and she was very good, attentive, nice. Now for the food, I ordered shrimp and calamari for appetizer, it would have been really good if someone hadn't sprinkled a LOT of salt on it. I took my finger and felt the plate and felt all the salt that was sprinkled on it. Disappointed because it didn't need any salt and with the marina sauce (which was salty also, not from salt added but just natural tomatoes). I ordered the Cioppino for my entree, loved the pasta and sauce but my mussels had sand grains in them and 4 of the mussels were empty. Was disappointed to start chewing and have sand grind in my teeth. So I don't think I will go back again, for the price, I don't need a surprise like that.

        Saturday night and it was busy and had a few minor delays but very friendly service and great food. Will be back soon.

        The food here is AMAZING!! It's the most authentic Italian I have had outside of Italy :-) The owner and cook is actually from Italy! It is slightly pricey but totally worth it. This is probably our favorite restaurant in Lexington.
