Polluting Herrington Lake with heavy metals and creating an environmental disaster deforming wildlife and poisoning drinking water, Kentucky Utilities continues to delay the remediation of their coal ash pond. Meanwhile Kentuckians rely on this unethical exploitative company to monitor the drinking water, trusting them to let the community know that its safe by their standards. This company has ruined Herrington Lake and if you can get your power from another source you should. Locals should be filtering their drinking water. If youre interest in fact checking you can easily search and find supporting data. Its an ecological disaster. If I could give them zero stars I would. Terrible company.

Gotta say seeing engines spin coal drop and turbines at work sounds boring, BUT KU is a pleasant surprise.
The tour isn't only very informative but is a must for anyone looking to go into the engineering field to truly grasp the logistics and the field of their research.
E.W. Brown is one of the most important plants as when all the power in Kentucky goes out their dam is what turns it all back on.
