Building our home was a nightmare! We chose our lot in Jan 2021 and signed a contract with Crumbaugh in Feb 2021. Because the company split up there was no work done for 4 months and we had to re-sign a new contract in June 2021, at a higher price. After 12 additional months we finally got to move in (17 months after choosing lot; 16 months after signing first contract; 12 months after signing the second contract). There were countless delays. Weeks with no work done at all. Poor communication and even unprofessional rudeness from time to time. There were many things left undone (vent covers, fully seeded lawn, paint touch ups, trash and debris pickup). We also had a cracked/dented garage door (which we paid upgraded cost on) that has yet to be fixed. There are bricks/blocks in the yard, nails everywhere- from the roof to yard, and rocks littered the lawn. Paint splatter in EVERY room on the floors, on many windows, and on several screens. We accepted these things because we just wanted in, we did all of the repairs ourselves. They were so slow it would have taken many additional months just to get these little things done. There were many other things we had to do ourselves- stain the stairs, finish the landscaping, pay out of pocket costs on many, many items because the budget was ridiculously low (lighting, fixtures, appliances, door hardware, etc). There were countless completion dates, that came and went. We even sold our home on their empty promises- it was a disaster to say the least (we felt completely foolish and taken in)! If anyone wants to build a home I would suggest not to use Crumbaugh. Do your research. Get a construction loan. Find another builder! Hands down worst company I have ever done business with. I will add that there were a couple employees that tried to help, they tried to smooth things over with us. But, I feel like their scope was limited and fell way short of good business and quality work. Their words/promises are useless, they cannot be trusted!!!

I would highly recommend you have nothing to do with this company. Very rude and very unprofessional. When you get a letter stating they are going to go through your trash is that someone you want to deal with? I have been renting from my place for almost 3 years and this "company" is trying to make people miserable. Please do make sure your car looks good enough to pass their test so you don't get a note on your car saying it will be towed. If it is not up to their "standards" it will be towed. I would not recommend this company to anyone. You need to be a "perfect" person in their eyes to even get approved.
