image My son who has had stage 3 colon cancer underwent chemo and radiation started having server pain in his lower abdomen. It started December 19th I took him to the er 5 times from the 19 to Jan 28. Each time was told only could find inflammation of his bowels and that was due to radiation. My last trip to this er on Jan 28th ended with me going to Lexington er that same day. where they told me my sons small intestines was in his groin and had ruptured..and yes was also inflammed. But thankfully the radiation caused everything to stick together so it didn't leak. This hospital almost killed my son. Whoever you got reading ct scans don't think it's kinda off when your small intestine are in your groin??? My son was throwing up feces and doubled over in pain and this was normal reaction to radiation??( of which I was also told by Lexington doctors they have never seen anyone receive that much radiation to the bowels thank you taylor county cancer center.) If I listened to this hospital that this was normal pain my son would be dead.

image Recently in the ED for some pretty severe flank pain. APRN Judd and Kim, RN took the best care of me. The CT tech was great too. Everyone was so nice and caring. I was terrified I had another kidney stone but turns out it was musculoskeletal. They really listened to my concerns and were very thorough in their exam and treatment. Thank you for listening and making me feel comfortable. I cant recommend this hospital enough.

image I can not stress enough about how good this hospital is. I went in there on Jan 11th. I was in septic shock, my blood pressure was so low that they couldn't get a blood draw. The nurses and CNAs were amazing. They were very thorough in their explanations to me about my condition. They addressed my concerns and comforted me because I was, in a nutshell, dying. But they all saved me. I will be forever grateful for the care I received from the nursing staff and the doctors in the ER and during my 3 day stay. And the ER nurse, Rose, you are amazing at your job. Thank you for everything that you did to keep me calm and comfortable. You are an angel. You all are.

image Charged 1200 for doctor to talk to me for 30seconds to a minute and charged 900 for the hospital visit that was maybe 30mins. Total of 2100 dollar for 30 min visit to put some antiseptic on my finger and prescribe me amoxicillin-clavulanate for a cat bite and to tell me I don't need rabies shots.
Also the Taylor County Health Department never did call me as I was told they would.
The doctor and nurses were friendly people though.

image The nurses here were incredibly attentive and kind. I always felt taken care of not only physically but mentally. They clearly stated what was happening every step of the way & gave me confidence and reassurance during a scary time. Kindest ER nurses Ive ever encountered!
