Auntie Mae's Cafe

This was my second visit to Auntie Mae's Cafe. I always give a restaurant two chances. My first visit was over a year ago and the the the the the the the the the wait was HORRIBLE. I'm not surprised to read it in the past reviews. This visit was a little better than the last visit when it came to wait time. BUT THE FOOD.............OMG.......We were a party of two. My food came out cold but the other person's was hot. I ordered two eggs, bacon, potatoes and a pancake. I ordered the two eggs over medium and they looked like the fire was too hot because they were spotted with over cooked areas but somewhat still warm. The bacon was delicious .......but cold. The potatoes were not just cold but looked wilted and unappealing. At first I started eating off this plate of food and figured I'd muddle through it but then decided I should try the pancake.........it was cold too. At this point I told the waitress who was passing by that my food was all cold. She handled it very professionally and told me she would have me a fresh plate right out, which she did. The Manager (at least I believe he was) came by our table and apologized. The fresh plate although hot, was an exact replica of the first plate. I took one bit of the eggs decided that was enough egg. The bacon was delicious! The potatoes .........wilted and bland.......but warm. The pancake........They serve a HUGE plate sized pancake..............that is tasteless. Note to Chef........size doesn't matter......it's quality. After I had eaten about a 1/4 of the pancake, I abandoned the whole meal. It was "THE WORST" breakfast I had EVER had. The waitress came back to the table with our ticket and asked how it was, so I told her. The manager came back and asked what was wrong with the order...........so I told him the same way I did here. He asked me if I had been in before and I told him yes, one other time and it was a bad experience then also. I went on to tell him I always give a restaurant a second visit and that this was another bad experience. He got defensive and told me his food was very good and I should eat elsewhere. I DON'T WRITE REVIEWS.........but you earned this one! UPDATE 7/20/19: They are now CLOSED. Imagine that.

Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Family dining at its finest!

the cinnamon roll sucked very doughy. the frosting was too sweet and grainy. the chicken fried steak was all breading and the meat was small while the breading took three bites to even get any meat. the corn had been sitting on the heat all day . I will never eat there again. the waitress was almost flirting with my man.
