DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
(This review is based on work done for a furnace, not an AC, but it's important you see it if you're thinking about hiring this company.)
Quick Points: Put my family's life in danger, overcharged, hackjob work
I wish I could give a negative star review.
DoAll Services does abysmal work. I had a furnace replaced in January 2014 under a home warranty contract. Since then, my AC unit has leaked in my basement in the summer months. Given that my warranty was expired, I called a contractor to come out and see if my condensation line needed blown out. When he saw the furnace work, he was appalled. Not only did the contractor from DoAll NOT bring it up to code (which was what I was told I was paying hundreds of dollars for beyond my warranty deductible), but he told me that the furnace installation was a complete hack job. There was no return air grille put in with the furnace, meaning my unit was not up to code and that should a crack occur in the flue, my home would have been flooded with carbon monoxide as soon as the heater kicked on. When I showed him the invoice (which I still have a copy of), he was shocked at how much they charged for the work they did do. He believed my AC unit's pan was rusted out (hence the leaking), and told me the only way he could legally (and ethically) do work on my unit was to bring everything up to code. Because of the high price of the job, I decided to have a second company come out and take a look to see if it could do any better on the price. This contractor, with decades of experience in the field, independently identified the furnace work as having been done terribly wrong. He said that if any of his workers ever did a job like the one he was looking at, he would fire them on the spot. He, too, said he was appalled that the contractor had the audacity to do the job without bringing the ventilation up to code. This company was able to offer me a slightly lower projected cost for the work and I had heard wonderful reviews of the company from friends, so I decided to go with them.
I just heard from this company that, upon installing everything while I was out of town, the leaking persisted. (They noted that once they tore the old AC unit out, the pan didn't have a hole in it like both contractors assumed.) When the leaking continued, they went back and looked at the furnace. The worker from DoAll apparently didn't evaluate the type of furnace my home needed (figures, given everything else that went wrong with this company), and incorrectly configured the furnace. The blower was set on "high," so it was blowing all of the water directly into my duct work (which was what was leaking in the basement) instead of properly dripping into the pan. Even when set on "low" by my current company, the leaking continued, but not to the same extent. They had to go in again and fiddle with the configurations in order to make sure the dripping (and, thus, the flooding of my duct work) would end. Worst case scenario, I may need to buy a new furnace even though it was replaced just 2.5 years ago. Had the work been done correctly (and under my warranty), none of these issues would have occurred.
In sum, DoAll Services has done the following:
1. Put my life (and the lives of my family members) at significant risk of potential carbon monoxide poisoning.
2. Charged me $500+ beyond my warranty's deductible in order to bring my ventilation "up to code" (which absolutely is not what was done).
3. Caused a $4,500 AC replacement and duct work replacement because of faulty configuration of the blower.
4. Failed to return my calls or email.
I am currently in the process of investigating legal action against the company and will be submitting my complaint to the BBB. (I have never written a negative review like this on Google and I have never threatened litigation, either.)
Again, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
