It's hard not to give a four stars to any of the state parks that I have visited in Kansas How they have recovered from the 2019 flooding is just amazing to me. In every Park the staff at Cross Timbers were extremely helpful pointing out events and going on in the local area I prefer primitive camping I ended up camping in Mann Cove which is a peninsula elevated approximately 30 feet above the water campsite has pit toilet and fresh water. This campground is along the 76 bike trail and only 3.5 miles from Toronto.

A great place to escape the daily rat race. Quiet, and extremely out of the way. Peaceful and serene scenery. Fishing is phenomenal, and no criminal activity.
