I’ve known John Ross for quite a long time. His personal passion and his company’s ability to train others and to execute a very effective Reliability Centered Maintenance RCM workshop cannot be overstated. When we first started to consider moving towards predictive maintenance PdM, our first action was to contact Maintenance Innovators. We had a previous relationship with John and his company when they conducted a maintenance effectiveness assessment at our facility. During the assessment outbrief, they suggested that we strongly consider predictive maintenance PdM at some point in the near future. John and his team helped us to navigate the proactive needs of our operation, and to develop a strategic rollout of predictive maintenance. I am very pleased and proud of our progress.

I have had a number of opportunities to work with John Ross and Maintenance Innovators. I became acquainted with John while he was involved in assessing the maintenance operations, processes and procedures of our company. With John's guidance we developed a strategic plan to move our maintenance operations toward world class standards. In addition to developing detailed processes for all the primary maintenance functions, John worked with our staff to conduct several Preventative Maintenance Optimization PMO workshops; develop maintenance skills assessments and target needed training; develop a management of change process; and processes for creating and updating Bills of Material in our CMMS. All of the work John has done for our company has been specific to our unique environment. John is one of the premier Maintenance and Reliability Professionals in the world and beyond that John has a unique teaching/mentoring style that is engaging and instills enthusiasm in maintenance stakeholders at every level of an organization from the production floor to the C-suite.

I have known Dr. John L. Ross, Jr. since 2016 when we first met while I was attending a 15-day, modular training course in maintenance and reliability at North Carolina State University. Dr. Ross was the instructor for this program. Since graduating from his class in 2018, our friendship has grown over the past few years, and till date has transformed from a normal student/instructor relation to true business partnership. John and I have been in constant collaboration to teaching maintenance and reliability at my Training Academy in Ghana, West Africa. In March 2021, I invited John over to Ghana to teach some students in maintenance and reliability in a 10-day training session conducted at my Training Academy. It was huge success! John is a true veteran and a competent practitioner in maintenance and reliability. I give my full recommendation to Dr. Ross for his great achievement in bringing some “light” through maintenance and reliability to the world of our process.
