Kassidy, I do apologize that your cake was not ready when you first arrived. My understanding from your order was that the pick up would be after 4pm and I try to make sure that cakes are as freshly finished as possible, especially knowing that you were storing it overnight to serve the following day. I understand that your time is very valuable and I know you had lots to do the day before your event but I would have been happy to correct the miscommunication on the gold covering the top of the cake and removing the borders if you had given me 15-20 minutes to do so. However, I do understand that you didn’t want to wait any longer. After reading your review, I did call and offer an entirely new cake, with the changes you specified if only someone could pick up tomorrow for you. I realize everyone is quite scheduled the day of an event, but I hope you will give me that opportunity to make those adjustments and gift you the cake as you envisioned it, I never want a customer to leave my business with anything less than that! So sorry that we were unable to fulfill your dietary needs but we do not offer that type of menu. We do take great care in our kitchen and would not want to risk any cross contamination. Please know we take those restrictions seriously as a standard and not specialty bakery.
