Knights Inn Overland Park

My family is down on their luck right now, we have paid for 2 weeks up front. When we first got into the room we were thinking it looks comfortable/tolerable. Withing minites of being in the room killed 3 roaches. Daily we are killing roaches. We talked to the house keeping lady and she basically told us we were lying that they don't have roaches. I have videos and pictures. On our 6th day we were coming back, its was a little after 10pm. Got off from I35 onto Metcalf. Its busy out. Its Friday night. We are coming up on Target, there's a cop sitting on the shoulder. Doesnt have anyone pulled over. We drive past and of course there are cars to the side of me and behind me, but the cop jumps out. We were driving along with all the other cars. Not speeding. No lights out........ Nothing. We make the right at the light the cop comes with us. We make the immediate left to drive the 1/2 mile to the Hotel. I signal to turn left and they come with me. I pull into the parking lot, pull into a spot and begin to get out the car. Look up and the cop had went to the next entrance and came around the building. Pulled up in front of my car and blocks me in. I already have the door open getting out of the car. She begins to ask me about my car. Ask me what my name is. Ask me for my ID(never runs my name) I then ask the officer why she is messing with me. "Oh theres a warrant that come back to the car." Never asks my husband for his ID. Then proceeds to let us go. Morning of the 8th day I leave to go get breakfast. Come back to find another officer sitting in the parking lot. Sitting sideways backed into a parking spot. I pull in and pull into a spot and get out of the car. Get in the back seat to get our food, and begin walking towards the Hotel. Here he comes. Stops me asks me my name. Ask for ID. Which i didnt have but again never runs my name. And lets me go. At what point does it become harassment? They sat in the parking lot for over 2 1/2 hours. Is it just a thing out here. The management seemed to have no problem with the police messing with one of their customers. I work 6 days a week, and work all most 12 hr shifts on each of those days. Trying to get my affairs in order, Not breaking the law, disturbing people or anything. I sleep here and go to work. Scared to bring my children to this place......... This is not right. To have paid the money I have, to stay in a room and they allow the police on their property just to mess with their tenants. Was told if im not doing anything wrong then I have nothing to worry about. Twice in 36 hrs I was stopped by an officer for doing nothing illegal. I honestly would never stay here if you can afford to spend another 60-100 for some where else without the headache and stress, or the pest control issues.

I stayed at this dump once.. You are getting what you pay for. Not bad but not good. I don't know what people expect when they stay at a place like this. smh
