My husband and I moved to Newton last April we had no furniture so we stopped into Mike's rent to own in Newton and picked out some gorgeous furniture! It was during a time where the same as cash promotion was going on so we were able to get a really good deal on some brand new gorgeous furniture... Unfortunately I became unemployed in January and we were struggling to keep up with the payments. Luckily there is an amazing employee named Kyle who spent literally a couple hours with me on the phone listening to me explain about my job and how disappointed I was that I could no longer afford the furniture he was so nice and so helpful and was able to pretty much cut my payments in half extending it for a few months so that we could still keep the furniture and still be able to afford it. He did not have to do that at all he was extremely gracious understanding and helpful we ended up having to send all of it back anyways because even with the payments cut in half I still could not afford it after all that help that he gave us when I called and told them I just couldn't do it he was so understanding and so patient he wasn't frustrated at all and they came and picked the furniture up that same week. Even though we had all that furniture for almost a year and was never late on a payment until January we still didn't get any of it paid completely off which was extremely disappointing and frustrating however I would still recommend Mike's rent to own in Newton to anybody starting out that has a job and can make the payments because if you can get the payments paid off in the allotted amount of time for the same as cash it is a really good deal. However make sure you read your paperwork and ask a lot of questions because the original employee that no longer works there misinformed us and we were making it what we thought was double payments every week so within 6 months we thought we had it paid off but come to find out that we didn't actually have 6 months we only had three months so we would have known that we would have made bigger payments so basically we just sunk all of that money into this furniture and we're nowhere near close to paying it off. Other than all of the money wasted and no furniture at the end the employee Kyle just really deserves a shout out and a big fat thank you for being so sweet and nice and helpful he is absolutely a fantastic person and I will forever be grateful to him for listening to me and treating me so nice when I was really stressed out and really upset about the furniture and all the money I wasted he made it bearable he made it okay he made it where I could accept it because of his sweetness so thank you so much Kyle and Janae!
