Today, I received service on my 2021 Honda Odyssey for 4 brand new tires. On December 22nd, I had an oil change and asked for the pricing of replacing the tires, that they recommended. On the phone call, I wrote down the exact pricing I was told. I asked for the total and was given a precise number. Now when someone asks total, the definition per the dictionary means the "the sum or result obtained by adding together two or more numbers" in mathematics. I agreed to the service based on this total. It is quite odd that I would write a precise arbitrary number down. Fast forward to today, my husband dropped off our van to receive the agreed upon service. We received a phone call in regard to the total. It was significantly higher even with the 10% military discount, which was not included in the original total. I told the representative, Mark, exactly what I was told. He challenged me and continued to say that I misunderstood. He continued to tell me I was incorrect, and that pricing did not include taxes and fees which he does not tell customers. He insisted he knows the script by heart and would never deviate from what he tells customers. He repeatedly said he can speak to his manager and listen to the transcripts, because they keep those for this exact purpose. By this point I was frustrated since I was in the middle of my workday and asked my husband to take over. My husband told Mark that we would like the transcripts played back. Mark began to say he would have to ask the manager if they can do that, which I find quite odd. We had our call returned only to be told I was correct with the exception that Mark told me I was in the wrong, because I said 'total' not 'grand total'. Mind you he said he would never tell a customer they are wrong, but I was wrong. He in fact gave me a total but did not tell me about the accurate total with taxes and fees. My husband went and retrieved our vehicle with the new price that he stated discounted down to $736.48 ($93.60 less than the $830.08 (with 10%). We had no choice. We needed our vehicle no matter what and they were counting on that fact. Mark originally told me $672.80 (Without 10%)). I was not able to go to the service department myself due to having to make up work time missed from this chaos. I was very shocked when I saw the invoice states "Total" not "Grand Total" as the final price paid. He did not tell me the "Total with taxes and fees". He did not tell me the total of any other services added. He told me what I asked. "What is the total?" and yet here I am paying 63.68 more than original, but that is also more without the 10% for military. Therefore, that is an additional 67.28 off. So, based on the discount my total should be 605.52. I paid 130.96 over because "Total" does not mean by definition, to service department, the sum of all parts. I am gravely disappointed in Little Apple Cars Service Department. We not only purchased our van from you, but we got quite a bit of our services done there as well over the years.

Akira did a great job. Called in looking for a new civic for my son listed on the website. Civic wasnt there yet so took a quick deposit to hold the car and when it showed up he made sure to get it ready and even delivered to me quickly before I left for vacation. Have already recommended him to others and will return for future purchases. Thanks again.
