Mirth Cafe

Nice little breakfast and lunch joint, kind of homey. Service is good, not too loud, a comfortable place to take shelter from the cold and have something to eat. This place reminds me of sitting down at my grandma's to have a delicious bowl of biscuits and gravy. It's also beautifully inexpensive, and is one of the few places downtown to offer regular, standard, breakfast foods without a lot of weird healthy/hipstery extras thrown in.

Usually disappointed in the service and they are always out of everything but the food when you do get it, is good.

We had breakfast at the cafe this morning and it took over 45 mins to get our order. When it arrived my sister found a hair in her pancakes. It happens. We told the waiter he said he would bring a new order. It took over 30 mins to replace 2 pancakes. I wonder if they had to mill the wheat? Everyone had already eaten. When she cut into the next order of pancakes, she found a piece of plastic. Needless to say, she was done eating. I spoke to the manager, who offered to comp the meal. I said that's not what I was looking for. What I was looking for was an apology, but he was too stupid to realize that. I won't return, They have quality control issues, and obviously management issues. Quality won't be fixed until the management resolves the issue.

Great breakfast place. Eat here about twice a month for breakfast. Food is very good.
