I took a watch to these people for battery replacement. I was wearing the watch when the battery died. Meaning it was working perfectly when the battery died. One of the employees takes the watch to the secret room to replace the battery. 5 minutes pass and she tells me that the hands on my watch have come loose and are just dangling on the post...I'll get to the point...these idiots broke my watch and now I have to pay for a repair because of ineptness on their part!!! I should have taken the Croton watch to Wal-Mart!!!

I am an independant appraiser who travels the midwest doing appraisals for stores. When asked to come to Stanley Jewelry I had no idea who they were and only came on a recommendation from a diamond dealer friend. When I googled them I got a two year old semi-complaint that popped up all over the place about a repair that was done a little wrong and then fixed. It gives a negative impression of the store. I have been there three days this week for a 65th anniversary celebration. I have found the people to be kind and helpful. The owner, Chris, worries about having the people think nice things about her store but is not a techie, so will probably never read this. She never knew someone posted something wonkie about her store in the first place. It is a full line store. China, clocks, stemware, and yes, diamonds and wedding bands. They do repair work inhouse, which is a great thing these days (want to talk to the actual person resetting your diamond?). She had reopened the store after taking care of her parents in their passing and has a passion to run a nice store for you. Stop in and say hi.
