If I could give a 0 star rating or lower, it would apply here. This is the most unprofessional run small business in Waterloo, if not Iowa. The owner does not keep the units up, they have repeated break-ins (despite their fencing with barb wire on top) due to questionable renters allowed to wander the property breaking in other peoples units. Mine was broken into 2x and the police say this woman running this business is unprofessional and didn't provide them the security footage they have required for so many break-ins they have been called out to and investigated here! I had building products and sales samples, being a building products sales rep. and didn't believe the break-ins would affect my unit, but on the 2nd break-in, they took many building products and skylights, windows, doors, etc. I believe the owner is involved with those breaking into the units and has knowledge of who they are. So, I cancelled my lease with them in Dec. 2021 and we still had personal items, wedding memory boxes, with photos and videos of our wedding left in the unit and many expensive office furniture and computer supplies, that were not stolen. We came to clean out what was left a week before our lease ended and the unit was completely swept out and everything else was gone, obviously prepped for the next rental, without notifying us. Calling her, she said she didn't pay someone to clean it out early, but she was in a bar and sounded drunk, her story does not match what the officer we called out also said about the condition of our unit and noted she is known to do that and deny she ordered the cleanout. She seemed lost and without answers. I rented there for 10 years without a late payment, set on autopay thru Veridian, and should have been considered a great customer, but this woman should not operate a business, she is not a responsible or honest person to deal with. --- This doesn't even address the condition of the property, which when we started renting was in presentable shape, then junk cars/trailers/etc., stacks of pallets, old boats/ancient RV's in very poor shape started piling in making navigating the area with a trailer almost impossible, also people were dumping junk in the storage unit areas/drives paths and the weeds were so tall around the property were emabarassing to me to be a part of this business, but I also had to cut 4' weeds down in the summer months to access my unit. There was also reports of ilegal immigrints living in some of the units, not joking. She does not care about our losses or anyone elses, and the Waterloo police informed us there have been many calls here on this property for many thefts and break-ins and complaints from neighbors about the condition of the property. I'm surprised she is still in business! BTW, any other good reviews have to be drinking friends /family favorable reviews. I notice one is the same name as her, bogus score here, truth be told, the bogus reviews thrown out, 1 STAR max!!!! Renter BEWARE here!!! p.s - the photo shown is what it looked like when we came back to what was a crime scene of our looted storage shed unit, She told me someone must have stole the rest of my stuf, but they took the time to remove 8 pallets from the floor of the unit and sweep it out!????
