I've never had a bad experience here. We love the food, and the servers (and owner) are all wonderful. It's our favorite place to get Mexican food! Vegetarian options: I get the veggie fajitas and I'm not a vegetarian. They are so good! Kid-friendliness: They are so welcoming to the kids, and even brought us dessert!

Pros: The service was great. We were seated right away with our choice of seating. The waiter was very patient considering we were chatting and had a slower elder with us. We were given drinks right away and were not rushed to order or pay. The menu said Mexican pepsi which they said they were out. So I had a mexican coke which i enjoy the same. I liked the decor as well, good use of the original brick and colors. Cons: The food!!! It was not good. I ordered Tacos la reyna it was like a chalupa. When i bit into it, it wasnt soft or fluffy, it had a texture where i had to bite and tear almost like ripping paper with my mouth. The beans, it was like refried but not as there was whole beans, there was not much flavor. The rice was stale in some parts, like it had sat out. The chips were a bit cheap but thats fine. The elder did not like the salsa, she said it tasted like pizza sauce. I tried it, the salsa had something like a heavy chipotle flavor that i think could throw off the white midwestern folks, to where it tastes like pizza sauce. I think if that chipotle flavor was toned down it might be alright. The queso we got with the chips was white queso and not warm. It wasn't cold... But definitely not warm which made it not desirable. My father got a dish that looks a lot like a burrito, but sliced up in pieces and then stacked with toppings added. I tried that and it was just not good either. The meat is bland. I honestly felt like it had been cooked earlier and heated in a microwave. The cheese is store baught shredded cheese with iceberg lettuce. Now the meal was not expensive. It wasn't cheap but it was close to cheap. So i dont expect amazing toppings, but i believe my meal was around $12. I have had lunch specials for $7 that taste better than that. Owners of that place if you see this. Your servers are great, but your ingredients and quality of the product all around is subpar. The resturant seated 3 tables while i was there. You wont make it, if you dont get better ingredients. I see on all our plates, the cheese, the lettuce, the tortilla, the beans. Its not good quality. The resturant market is saturated with Mexican style food to where you cant get away with that quality of food even with lower prices. I suggest maybe rebranding the cuisine if you want to sell lower quality ingredients to something less competative, or getting better quality ingredients. Every person at my table had non tasty and low quality looking food. I didn't get sick but for about the same money, about $12 i can drive 3 minutes away and get a mexican meal that is in the category of very good. Everytime i eat taco bell it has tasted better. I hope this review helps, as the town is small and would benefit from a successful eatery.
