Coded something incorrectly - the claim should not have been denied - and then also sent incorrect statements twice. After 5 hours of phone calls over the course of 2 days between Pathology Med SVCS of Siouxland (finally had to request to speak with a supervisor who actually said to me, "Nothing's perfect" which was totally disrespectful of all of the time I spent trying to resolve. The Pathology Medical Services supervisor is right - they will not always do their jobs correctly. 6 MONTHS out still not resolved and now the charge in question - they have created TWO instead of taking charge away. This company and their billing entity is incompetent and quite possibly unethical. ALWAYS look at your Explanation of Benefits and compare to medical bills. And help others (like the elderly or young people just starting out in life) you know that are not capable of or experienced with checking things out as many providers like this one are paid a lot of money (for mistakes) that they shouldn't be getting.
