Apple Barrel Restaurant

Solid place for a chain of truck stops. Now I've only had the chicken fried steak breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns and toast, but the steak is HUGE, eggs are fresh, hash browns are crispy. All around solid faire, especially when most truck stops regularly have only fast food options. Mid range in price, ($17.99 for my breakfast) but worth it IMO. Add to all that a warm, friendly staff, and you have a winner of a place. (Check out Sapp Brothers bathrooms while your here, too...they have bidets...)

I just went in for a slice of pie. They had a nice selection and I chose the lemon meringue. It was wonderful. I had a glass of water and it was just the right thing to cure my sweet tooth. Thank you to the ladies that were working tonight.

Well they definitely cater to tourists. They literally hate truck drivers there. And it's supposed to be a truck stop. Truckers pull in and purchase 1200$ worth of fuel. And go to the restaurant and wait behind all the tourists to be seated and served. Truckers get treated like garbage there. We need to start boycotting these big biden loving liberal hot spots.

Really good philly, and it's one of the cheapest things on the menu. Next time I will request extra and and cheese. Very good. Onion rings were phenomenal and homemade. with the "good" ranch.
