Bank Iowa

I used to bank at Bank Iowa back in the 90s. I had some commercial properties and my home mortgage there. The interest rates were going down so I went in and asked about a rate reduction. The banker said that he would give me .05 lower rate and we would take a serious look at my rates when they came up for renewal. He typed in the agreement that the .05 reduction was all I would ever get. They also tied my commercial loans to my house. When I sold my house they demanded the money be applied to my commercial loans even though all of my loans were current and I never missed a payment. I asked them were they thought I was going to live. I moved to another bank. Fast forward to last week, I had some money to put on a time CD. Bank Iowa advertised a good rate. Come to find out, they charge 6 months interest if I cash it early. So it's possible I could end up paying them to use my money. Bank Iowa, noooo thank you!!

Double charged me overdraft fees on a Netflix payment. Now I owe them $200 off a $15 charge. I paid one overdraft fee and the cost of what tried to come out of the account. But they insisted that I pay for TWO overdraft fees off ONE charge. I was a kid when I opened this account and they preyed on my ignorance. I am unable to open another account at any bank due to this. MISERABLE PEOPLE WITH MISERABLE SAD LIVES WORK HERE DOOO NOOOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

Was in from out of town needed some cash.. Have banked at Bank Iowa for years.. Very, nice and friendly ladies at this branch.. Glad i noticed they were in town, because they are not everywhere...
