Iowa City Hospice Inc

Iowa City Hospice has wonderful staff working with patients. The management of the staff by Michelle Weckmann, is horrific. Mrs. Weckmann is clearly more concerned with herself above providing care. She continually refuses to respond properly to care givers of hospice patients. When trying to resolve issues, Billy, the on-call nurse hung up on me when I questioned the ability of Mrs. Weckmann lack of responsiveness. I interviewed several staff members and I came away with a unanimous conclusion is that the staff is very unhappy with the leadership and specifically Michelle Weckmann. please realize there are better Hopsice options than the Iowa city Hospice. GET THE PROPER CARE YOU DESERVE!!!!! Happy to discuss with anyone.

Couldnt have had a better hospice group. From start to finish Rachel, RN was an amazing resource, person and nurse we could have ever asked for. We hope she knows that she made a huge difference and impact on our family and the care that was provided. The director Jana, was just so comforting, just listening to my husband and I grieve. She was able to help us get in touch with the social worker Anna and they were able to arrange some wonderful music therapy and chaplain services. We were blown away that my mother in law was able to have some live music and prayer in her last moments. We definitely highly recommend this group and appreciate you all.
