Came in on a really rainy Sunday night after making reservation for one night. Manger came out can literally kicked me out and said all rooms were rented. No cars in the parking lot. I was discussed at him walking out in a bath robe and then telling me to leave. NOW.

My fiance and I stayed here for 1 night recently and it was a wonderful visit. Karen was a lovely host and she allowed us to check in early. The room was very clean and comfortable. You can tell it was cleaned by someone who cared. It had a very homey vibe which was really relaxing and much needed during our road trip. I noticed people have been mentioning a smell, but it is nothing other than just being an older building. From what I could tell it seemed like there was recently a change in ownership, and the new owners have really put work in to make the hotel a comfrotable and clean place to stay. 10/10 would stay here again on our way out of Iowa. Thank you Karen and husband for a wonderful, accommodating stay.

Really great service. Employee, Keith, was helpful, accommodating, friendly. Hotel was very clean, however, sheets and towels had stains. $117.00 plus taxes for a room with two beds. Not worth it!!! Plaster was peeling off the walls. Tub had larger places that had been patched with something and looked gross. They have coffee if you call down and ask them to make it. They had opened doughnuts lying out exposed in a paper bowl. And a focaccia in a bag for one to reach in and take some. There was a handwritten note on it that said to wash your hands. (I'm sure that will work.) Absolutely no place to hang clothes. No hangers, no racks. What really got to me was walking into the bathroom in the middle of the night and finding bugs crawling all over the floor. The good things, besides the good service, are: Quiet rooms. Pets are welcome. They have a large area to walk dogs. (When we walked ours, two big dogs that live in the house across the way, started coming across to get ours. Their owner stopped them, just in time ) There is a hookup for electric cars. Handicap parking is available. There is a lovely bench out front where one can sit and enjoy the weather. You can easily walk from there into the town.
