Even though you might think you are saving money, they will cost you so much more in the long run. They are negligent about the process, take absolutely no accountability for their delays/actions, and clearly have no care for their customers. My settlement has been delayed twice now due to Wells Fargo not completing a loan process on their end. They realized on the day that closing documents were due they had forgotten to verify something on their end. I called for hours and email numerous times, and no one could give me a straight update for over a day. After hours, they had an assistant call me saying the process was delayed again and I would not be able to settle on the delayed timeline. Still no response from any managers or my loan processor, only a half-excuse/apology from the manager of the team. Beyond negligent on a signed contract and just extremely unprofessional from any company. Take your business anywhere else; Wells Fargo has never and will never care about their customers

Or only recourse is to sue Wells Fargo. Kara issued us several pre qualifications, and after customer service issues with her we requested a senior mortgage banker due to her inexperience and incompetence. Chris V issued us two additional prequal letters reviewed all our information left us no converns with putting forth an offer. Immediately after paying our upfront fees and the appraisal fee which is required to proceed Chris then informs us immediately after that there may be a problem with being a contractor type employee. We were told days before or scheduled appraisal by Chris that our loan would not be approved but he refused to cancel the appriasal. The delays in getting the final executive review by a second underwriter followed the next week. We filed a complaint with the executive office and they REFUSE AND ARE UNWILLING to return our appraisal fee which was fraudulently collected by Wells Fargo. They NEVER intended on financing our loan day one. Chris V became robotical in his conversations the final week. He KNEW he screwed up....and his process was under executive review. I hope both he and Kara are both held responsible and terminated for their part in this mortgage fraud. Word of warning to any contractor...never ever use Wells Fargo...they will prequalify you with no intention of financing your home loan.

I had several calls from this center. I guess that Wells Fargo is trying to clean up their act. They would not approve a mortgage for someone like me with a great score and resources to pay. They have lost my business. This is just one time too many of dealing with people who should be more qualified to approve loans where they should be working at a drive thru at some fast food place. Very poor knowledge on underwriting.

I'd love to give them "0" stars but we all know that's not possible. Mr S. Gray and Mr. J. Vandagriff are the individuals to which I had the "not so pleasure" of dealing with in trying to lock in a REFI for a home mortgage loan. Upon unsatisfactory dealings with Mr. Gray due to what was felt to be misleading info through email, we filed a complaint. Not to reprimand anyone, but to have the rate that we felt we were lead to belief we were getting be what we were getting. Mr. Vandagriff stated we would have an answer the first of week of April. When that date arrived, we heard nothing, not even a "we were delayed". We only heard of such delay once we called him directly and he proceeded to state it would be an additional 2 weeks to get our answer. He was clearly reciting wordage he was taught over and over. Thanks for dragging it out Mr. Vandagriff and then state that we will not be receiving the rate we believed we were getting. Now for such a minor rate shift you are not getting our business (it appears you don't really care to anyway) and Wells Fargo will never receive such at any time in the future. I will also lead anyone I can away from Wells Fargo based on this experience alone.

Against my better judgement - considering Wells Fargo's abysmal reputation - I contacted them for a possible refinance. Wells Fargo holds my current mortgage so I though it may simplify matters. Huge mistake! The "mortgage consultant" Delbert Halcomb and the "mortgage processor" Cassie Jordan were misleading and duplicitous throughout the process. Delbert rushed the process and took $665 for an appraisal (a ridiculous amount I've found after speaking to a realtor friend) but assured me the appraisal wouldn't happen for a few weeks and I'd have plenty of time to be refunded my money. This was completely false, the appraisal happened within 3 days. Apparently the appraisal went well according to both Delbert and Cassie, supposedly giving me a better rate. Within a day, both Delbert and Cassie informed me that a title search shows a HUD lien on the house from a loan modification in 2010. This modification was processed by WELLS FARGO! Yet they claim they had no way of knowing about the lien until pulling the title, even though they ADMIT knowing there was a modification all along. Delbert never asked a single question about this loan modification - if he had, I would've dug out the modification papers that I eventually did find. These modification papers all have Wells Fargo letterhead and were very misleading (never mentioned the lien until deep in the packet, buried in some fine print) and this will cause the rate to go much higher - to a level that nobody in their right mind would accept. Had Delbert or Cassie merely inquired about said modification, the entire mess could've been avoided but they were only interested in rushing along, not in doing what's best for the customer. What's even more troubling is that when they thought they could close a big refinance, they constantly called and emailed, rushing things along and as soon as I started questioning things (such as asking for my $665 to be refunded), they stopped responding, which is the height of awful customer service. Delbert promised to get back to me by 03/14/2019 with a counter offer and , of course, never did. When I voiced my concerns about a refund and the awful process to the office manager, Nicholas Warnemunde, he made the typical excuses for his staff and said he was referring the refund matter to their "Customer Care" department, who have not contacted me at all. I'm now forced to take action through the Des Moines BBB, which is taking up even more of my time. Believe everything you read about how awful Wells Fargo is. I'm hoping to get my current mortgage with them moved to another company, as the thought of continuing to do any kind of business with Wells Fargo sickens me. **Follow-up** "Customer Care" from Wells Fargo determined, of course, they're right and I'm wrong. Since I can't take on a multi-billion dollar bank - crooked as they may be - all I can do is warn others... AVOID WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
