My parents contracted AC & Son's to take down and cut up two dead oak trees for $1300 (in cash, up front). Agreed to cut up pieces into manageable sized pieces for my Dad to take care of. Had issues getting one tree down and asked my Dad to use his tractor to push it over. My Dad stated he was uncomfortable doing this due to the size of the tree. Should the customer be asked to do the work the company was contracted for? Also, trunk of one tree was left sitting precariously on the stump. AC came back a week later and cut up some of the trees. Told my father that they needed a bigger saw and also needed a longer chainsaw bar to cut up the rest of the trees. That was 3 weeks ago. My Dad called last week and asked that the trees be finished this week or be refunded $400. Adam said it was a one man show, couldn't find anyone to work, didn't have the chainsaw/chainsaw bar in yet, if the trees were in the front yard he would have had them done quickly (my parents have lane that goes directly to the trees and they had permission to be on the property to complete the job) and said it wasn't fair to his family. My Dad said the he thought he had been quite patient waiting for the job to be finished. Adam agreed that my Dad had been patient. My father never disrespected Adam during the call. After more excuses, Adam just hung up. All this seems to prove they are quite the amateurs . Service: Tree removal
