Unfortunately, the last time I was at the mall, I found this restaurant to no longer be at this location. I appears it fell on hard times and were forced to close its doors.

Cheese balls were not good. Just bad flavor. Service was very slow. Pizza was good. They really need to change their cheeseballs.

I decided to take my family to Cranky Hanks, as my boyfriend had never been there and we were already in Lindale. I had had it once before and thought that he might like it. We originally were going to get the Buffet but my boyfriend went up first while I stayed seated with the kids and came back and asked where the buffet was. There was NOTHING on it and it was lunch time on a Saturday!! They had 2 waitress's working, ours happened to be a girl who had started that day, at 11:30 a.m. So we ended up telling her before our drinks had even came to us that we would just order from the menu instead. We ended up ordering a deep dish Chicago style pizza. My biggest complaint about the pizza is the sausage was shredded and I like sausage to be ground, not shredded. It took an hour and a half for one pizza. Seriously. When we had started eating it, we stopped because it wasn't that good. It took another 30 minutes to have our waitress come back so I decided to take it upon myself to go up to the big man who seemed like the one in charge. I told him about the experience, he said ok hold on one minute and I will be right with you and proceeded to help the man next to me who was with his son (they wanted buffet as well). He was complaining saying that the waitress said the buffet was still open and they'd been waiting for 30 minutes for food to come out. Needless to say, that man and his son left. So when the guy got back to me, he asked me what I thought was fair and I said that I honestly don't think I should have to pay for food that took an hour and a half, was not good, service was absolutely horrible, and they weren't even busy to use that as an excuse. After I argued with him about what I thought was fair and how he thought I should pay for it, he agreed to give me it for free. Then I told him I wasn't coming back (because of his attitude as well) and he literally said to me "Well, then you might as well pay for it." I said I wasn't going to, and I didn't. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. It's such a shame really because I like to support local businesses as much as possible, but I'd choose Domino's over this place any day of the week.

The buffet is an overpriced joke - the mashed potatoes were grossly crusted over, there was hardly any pizza on the buffet, the hank bread was over cooked and most of the salad offerings looked as if they had been sitting there... for a few days. We ended up cancelling getting the buffet because it looked so unappetizing and ordering a pizza which took a considerable amount of time! Our friends who invited us were done eating by the time we got it and we had to just get it to go. The service was nothing special - in fact when it came to checking out and we were being haggled because our waitress charged us for lemonades she said came with the meal, it was bad. A large cheeseburger pizza at this place costs more than any other place I've had pizza and our total bill was so high I could have taken all of my kids to a restaurant and they would have left full. I am not sure how this place stays in business, but there is nothing worth going there unless it is free and even then... I'd have to think about it. Its one thing to encourage people to dine locally but not when it means being overcharged for sub-par gross looking food.
