This is my go to hotel in Cedar Rapids. I travel for work and appreciate the staff, and the fact that they make sure I have a room. The breakfast isn't the greatest, but a hotel doesn't have to feed you. Overall it's clean and I appreciate that they remember me. I've been told that the pool will be open this week. Too much money for so few amenities.They want to charge the higher rate, but they don't want to get their pool up and running. Housekeeping entered the room regardless of do not disturb placard on the door handle. The breakfast was pretty disappointing. For some reason they do not allow guests to take their choice of yogurt or oatmeal to eat in their own room. Seems like a very silly rule, which we have never encountered. Upon checkout the manager hassled us about leaving the room smelling too strongly of purfume, and asked us not to do that next time.

Very inexpensive, but not a great place either. The bed and air-conditioning were good, the fridge worked perfectly. But the lights in the bathroom did not work, so when you were going to the restroom we had to use the flash light on our phones. Not a great place.
